Dr Mary Abadir (M.B.B.Ch, MRCOG, FRANZCOG)

Dr Mary has been a member of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and
Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) since 2017 and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology UK
(MRCOG) since 2002.
As a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr Mary provides care to women of all ages and through
different life stages.
As a mother of three children, with over 20 years’ experience in Obstetrics Dr Mary has a personal great
interest and understanding of pregnancy, birth, postnatal period and beyond.
She is interested to look after low and high-risk pregnancy including Pre-pregnancy Assessment and
Counselling, Recurrent Miscarriage, vaginal birth after a previous caesarean section, multiple
pregnancies, complicated pregnancy with high blood pressure and Diabetes.
Dr Mary is also a highly-trained Gynaecologist, with expertise in the women health including Family
Planning, management of patients with menstrual dysfunction, PCOS, infertility, benign ovarian cysts,
fibroid, prolapse, urinary/bladder problems, sexual dysfunction, vulval disorders, menopause and
postmenopausal bleeding.
As a Colposcopist Mary has a special interest in Colposcopy including management of abnormal cervical
screening test and she has a strong understanding in new developments in the Cervical Screening
Program.
Dr Mary takes great satisfaction in supporting and encouraging women by providing evidence-based
treatment and care throughout their entire life. Her patients commonly comment that she has really
listened to their specific concerns and they feel informed and involved in their management plan.
